Welcome to Oakley!
Oakley

In 1853, Thomas Rhoades first settled on the banks of the Weber River here. In 1868, William Stevens became the first permanent settler in what was originally called Oak Creek, then Oakley. An Indian trail ran along the foothills of the Uinta Mountains east of town. Oakley remains a growing community that bustles with community involvement busying itself with being hosts to the renowned ‘Fourth of July and Rodeo Celebration'. This celebration maintains its early heritage while keeping up with the present and looking to the future.
